A Legacy Continues

After 46 years at DCEF, Erick “Rick” D. Reisinger announced his retirement as president at the end of 2021. In gratitude for his legacy of leadership and in honor of his deep love for congregations, DCEF has established a fund in his name. See the amazing impact it will have for churches.

A Heart Connection

The doors on the family home swung a little wider than most when Nancy Brink was growing up. As a result, her idea of “family” spans multiple generations, a couple of continents and people who have nothing else in common but each other’s care. Theirs is a heart connection, Nancy says.

Growing up in a Disciples family of five living on his father’s meager earnings as a button maker in a Manhattan factory, former DCEF Board member, William “Willie” Garcia remembers: His parents always found a way to pay the bills AND honor a tithe to the church.
