A Legacy Continues

Denise and Erick Reisinger

Denise and Erick “Rick” Reisinger

Erick “Rick” D. Reisinger looked up to his father and both grandfathers. They were Disciples ministers, educators, and leaders. He always knew he wanted to work for the Church, but that he did not have a calling to pastoral ministry. Shortly after graduating from Culver-Stockton College with a degree in business administration and economics, Rick joined the staff of Disciples Church Extension Fund in 1976.

Throughout his ministry with DCEF, Rick has held various roles in financial services, advised local and regional ministries on capital fundraising campaigns, and guided innovative strategies and vision. Rick has been driven by his passion for congregations and helping churches make faithful decisions that empower meaningful mission. After 46 years at DCEF, Rick has announced his retirement as president at the end of 2021.

In gratitude for Rick’s legacy of leadership and in honor of his deep love for congregations, DCEF has established the Erick and Denise Reisinger Fund. The fund will provide ongoing financial support for DCEF’s suite of building, capital, and ministry planning services. Annual earnings from the fund will undergird service delivery expenses and reduce costs to churches. You can contribute to the fund by visiting our Donate Today page and directing your gift to the Rick Reisinger Fund.

Congregations must innovate for each era of God’s ministry, and that means taking a discerning look at how mission and facilities connect. The Erick and Denise Reisinger Fund helps churches move forward with confidence. They can count on DCEF to be an important resource and supporting partner for whatever comes next.
